| This
is a great craft to do at Easter time or just in the spring
time. It is a great way to utilize a few Easter eggs and Easter
grass that you having lying around the house and is perfect
for any bird lovers. |
| Step
1: The first step is to take a sheet of construction
paper and cut out your nest, which can be a circle of any
color. You can also use thin cardboard if you want the nest
to be a little bit more of a sturdy craft. This can also be
accomplished by using multiple sheets of construction paper
but is completely optional. |
|
| This
can be a good opportunity to discuss the shape a nest is with
your child and what color they think that the nest would be. |
| Step
2: You and your toddler can cover the bottom of your
nest with glue. With this particular craft it helps to use a
lot of glue, lucky for your toddler using too much in this case
is not really possible. As long as your child can stay on the
paper they should be able to do this step with little to no
help. |
|
| If
you are concerned about wasting glue only open the glue bottle
lid a little bit or have your child apply the glue with the
Q-tip. |

| Step
3: Equally fun as the previous step have your toddler
place Easter grass on the top of the the glue. Your child
can carefully place a few pieces at a time or place all of
it at once. To test to make sure that it is touching the glue
simply tilt the paper and see what falls off. Any pieces that
did not stick can quickly be placed back on. |
|
| If
you do not have any Easter grass it can easily be made by cutting
up small strips of construction paper. |
| Step
4: There are one of two ways that step 4 can be done.
You can either help you child squeeze out the glue along the
edge of the of an Easter egg top or bottom. Or you can have
them apply it using a Q-tip that was dipped in the glue bottle. |
|
Repeat
this step with as many eggs and you and your toddler would
like to have on the nest. |
| Step
5: Finally as your toddler and you have applied glue
to an egg top or bottom place it on top of the Easter grass.
This way you will double the number of eggs in the nest as Easter
eggs that you used, making this an ideal craft for daycares. |
