| This
simple toddler arts and crafts project of a plane is so easy
to make you might find that your little one wants to make
many of them. |
|
Step
1: Take your first toilet paper roll and cut off
two one inch rings. Then with the remaining part of the roll
glue or tape it to your whole toilet paper roll. It is a good
idea to do this step ahead of time, since it is a step that
your toddler will not likely be able to help in. Having the
body of your plane ready to go you can move on to preparing
the wings and tail.
|
|
| A
paper towel roll will work well for this toddler craft project
as well, and your only need one. |
| Step
2: Take the index card and cut the shape of your wings
out of it, trimming around the shape as the index card is already
the length that you wings need to be. If you will not being
using an index card for your plane's wings you can use construction
paper instead, cutting out a piece similar in size of an index
card. |
|
| Keep
in mind that index cards are 3 inches by 5 inches and this project
only needs one for the wings. |
| Step
3: Have your toddler color the wings as well as the
plane's body. Take the first ring and cut it in half so you
have two letter C shapes. Tape or glue the first C shape in
the front of the plane's body from top to bottom and then
the tape the second one from side to side. Repeat this step
with the second ring but to the back of the plane's body. |
|
| This
will create the front and back of the plane, if you want you
can have your toddler color them but make sure that they are
secure first. |
| Step
4: Using construction paper or part of an index card
cut out a tail for your plane craft. Have you toddler color
the tail and then help them glue or tape it to the back of the
plane. Now your plane is complete. If you want your craft for
a decoration you can glue or tape some string on to the top
of each end of the plane. |
|
| This
arts and crafts project is a very fun one for both the young
child making it and the helper helping them. |
